Postoil Manchester

It's the year 2050, Manchester, UK.

The M60 is thronged with horses and solar buggies, the city centre is a bike-only zone, Salford is pedestrianised and Gorton a massive stables.

The industrial revolution has come a full circle. China holds the world to ransom with its stranglehold on precious metals. Production using oil-powered energy and mineral based technology has ground to a halt. Famine sweeps the land.

But the English are a resourceful lot.
